Hello everyone!  

Our class starts now 

Yesterday we discussed Storytelling and I will encourage us to read more on storytelling 

I promised a note yesterday, you can get a simple note on yesterday’s class here -  

We are all part of a Community 

That reminds me, there is a creative challenge that will be holding on the tenth of this month and I will implore you all to join the challenge. It’s all about smashing those goals, right?

Community management is the process of building an online community around a target audience. 

As a content creator, the work of community management lies on you 

You have to create content that will appeal to the community of the audience that you are targeting 

Community management has to do with social media management especially when the community you are managing is a social media page 

*How do I Build a Formidable Online Community?* 


1. Know your Audience 

How can I know my audience as a community manager?  

 

  • What problem is your brand solving?  

 

  • Who are the people that have the problem?

2. Create A Content Calendar 

We will look at how to develop a content calendar practically on Friday but we need to know what it entails 

A. Research!!!  

Research can not be overemphasized 

Make research, check other companies that are solving the same problem your brand is solving and look at how they are pushing out contents 

B. Be Creative!  

Think in and out of the box! 

C. Put yourself in the minds of your audience 

3. Use Relevant Hashtags 

You can check online for hashtags that works best for the content you are pushing out. 

4. Use Keywords that are relevant to your Brand's Audience!   

Like the one we used above :  

Keywords there are : Brand, Social Media, etc 

5. BE CONSISTENT!  

 Don't relent because the number of likes and comments are not increasing. Continue posting, ensure you use all avenues for posting. 

6. Be Dynamic!  

 Make the page interesting by creating contents that are dynamic. It does not have to be boring! It should not even be boring!!!
