Stacy: The girl who had everything yet had nothing

Stacy: The girl who had everything yet had nothing

Stacy graduated with a first class honour in pharmacy. She was the top of the class and the best in the University. The day of the convocation was glamorous, her parents celebrated it in a grand style. Most of the children of her parents friends kept on giving her compliments like, 'you're so lucky Stacy', 'I wish I were like you', 'how did you do it?', 'your life is perfect'. Some of her parents friends were telling her parents how lucky they were to have her.  Many of the guests wanted to speak to her and hear the words of her mouth but deep within her, she felt so empty and she wanted so badly to talk to her parents. She decided to talk to her parents, she walked up to them only to be interrupted before she could get any word out, "guess what Dear... "her mum said and before she could talk, her mum said, "your dad and I just spoke to Dr.  Adams the owner of Calley pharmaceutical store in Switzerland and he would love to help you set up your own pharmaceutical store in Nigeria. He saw your research work and became intrigued............ " her mum went on and on about the whole thing, "how did he get my research.... When did all these happen? " she asked trying to keep herself together, "we sent it on your behalf Honey" her mum replied surprised at her answer then her dad's friend killed it all by saying, "we have also planned on your meeting with my son, who would be your future husband ", Stacy smiled, "can you give me a minute?" she asked and left.
Minutes later, the maid screamed and everyone rushed to meet the maid, they saw Stacy lying on the ground with blood all over her, "she just jumped" the maid said. Stacy was rushed to the hospital and as her parents paced in the waiting room, the question on their mind was, "why? "...........
Well, we have some people in the world like Stacy today, they have 'everything' yet have 'nothing'....everyone celebrates them yet they're dying within them. They want to speak out but their voice is not allowed. They try to have their way some times but there's no way for them. It's either a bossy mum or dad or aunt or friend or anyone in their life and they feel so tied up and they can't speak out. No one is ready to hear them so they've decided to keep shut and tie up their feelings in a box. Having the best things in this life doesn't make anyone happy for a lifetime, what makes you happy for a lifetime is doing what you love, living life the way you love and spreading the love around for others. Don't let anyone stop you from being who you love to be and being how you love to be....... Be yourself always in a beautiful way.
This is Temiloluwa and this is what I love doing......  What's yours?

*Stacy's story is purely fictional and any resemblance it might have with any real person is just a coincidence.
