The room was quiet, Meg stood at the far end facing the wall, Monica was sitting down in silence while Mrs. Pepper was shaking her legs where she sat. The three women were expecting the Doctor's report on Choo, after the accident she had in the afternoon. Meg had tried to reach Tom countless times but he was not reachable, she thought of how he would feel if Choo should die, perhaps he would be happy or maybe he would regret not listening to her and reaching out to his daughter. She prayed Choo would make it out alive but she was scared her prayers might not be answered.
Monica was feeling guilty, she wished things had turned out differently for Choo. She thought she could save the girl and make her better instead she had led the girl to a fatal accident. She prayed Choo would make it out alive, because if Choo should die then she would blame herself for the rest of her life. She knew Ben would be worried, he had been calling her for about two hours but she  had not accepted the call. She was still vexed with him, she could not just forgive him like that but sitting here hoping that Choo would make it out alive makes her wonder if she would regret not forgiving Ben.
Choo was the only student Mrs. Pepper had ever given up on, she always believed in helping all her students to achieve potentials but Choo had made it difficult for her. She had tried everything possible to make their girl better but she had failed and her prayer since then was that God should just let the girl leave her school one day. She felt so guilty for her prayer, "Lord, please save Choo and I promise to do what I have never done all these years for her.... I promise to tell her about You" she prayed, sobbing bitterly.
