WRITING THE PERFECT ESSAY AND ESSAY WRITING SAMPLES

Many students believe there is nothing like a perfect essay, this is because they have given up after putting in all their best in an essay and still got a very annoying mark. This is the reason this write-up was put in place; to make writers see that there is an easy way to make the perfect essay.
Sometimes ,  a lot of ideas would just come and you don’t know which one would make the perfect essay. This write up would give you simple but the best tips to write the perfect essay you might intend to write along with some samples that would help you.
Let’s get straight to the point and look at the ways we can write the perfect essay

  • Know the kind of essay you want to write: the problem of many students is that they do not even know the kind of essay they are writing. A student was asked to write an essay on “My country ” and he started narrating events that has happened in his country, though the essay was beautiful; he did not get up to the pass mark because the essay required him to describe not narrate. Writing a perfect essay would be easier if the writer knows the kind of essay he or she wants to write.

TYPES OF ESSAY
NARRATIVE ESSAY:  this is the type of essay where you are asked to tell the reader about something that has taken place, an event that has already happened.

DESCRIPTIVE ESSAY:  as the name implies, the writer has to describe someone, something or a place. The writer could also be asked to describe an event e.g. describe the celebration of Independence Day in your country.

ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY:  when it comes to argumentative essay then the writer has to choose one of the two points and convince the reader that he or she has a good viewpoint. This means the writer has to make a very strong essay with good points.

EXPOSITORY ESSAY:  the writer of an expository essay needs to be factual in a way, you are to write what you think is the right thing. Most times, the writer needs to be familiar with the topic before delving into it.
Examples:  the menace of corruption in African countries, Causes and Effects of unemployment, e.t.c

  • Brainstorm: think of what you want to write, a writer must not be tensed because this could jeopardize this step as it might seem the ideas are not coming forth.  A writer has to think of what to write and this would help in the process of writing a perfect essay.  Let’s take for example, you were asked to write an essay on the topic “The menace of corruption in African countries ”

Menace of corruption in African countries:
What is corruption? , what is menace? what are African countries?, is this essay real? , effects of corruption, poverty, why is corruption wrong? e.t.c.
This way you could write endless things but don’t make it endless, just write as many things as possible because you would still have to filter it out.

  • ARRANGE YOUR POINTS IN THE RIGHT ORDER: this would depend on your essay, for a narrative essay; it should start with the date e.g. it all happened on that beautiful day, 15th July, 2018. Make sure you start with the right introduction because this would determine if your reader would be interested in your essay.

  • AVOID GRAMMATICAL ERROR:  Grammatical error puts off the mind of your reader, always try to make your essay free of grammatical error. This is why you need a good knowledge of words in English to help you write the perfect essay.

  • GIVE A GREAT INTRODUCTION AND CONCLUSION:  Use a catchy phrase to start your essay, make sure it is free of any grammatical error and it is not insulting in anyway. You could start an essay on the topic “ A day I would never forget” with:

“The day was just like any other but I never knew it would mark a change in my life”
Make your conclusion give a lasting impression on your reader because it could have an effect on your grade for the essay. A conclusion for the example above could be:

“I only hope this day would be far from me because I do not want to ever experience such in my life again”

  • PROOFREAD:  This is very important, a writer need to proofread to make corrections wherever applicabltoe. A perfect essay needs to be proofread to make sure everything is in order and free from any grammatical error whatsoever.

Conclusion

Writing an essay depends on the writer and the style you intend to use, but the fact remains that these above techniques would still help any writer to write a perfect essay.
